For a long time, Pearl has been a jack of all trades without the negative connotation of being a master of none. As the saying goes, he would oftentimes find himself to be arguably better than a master of one nonetheless; from studying computer science to pursuing graphic design, all the way to now being a full-funnel marketing professional and in-house content creator for a global communications firm.
At several points of life in the Pearl world, he's been faced with the type of trials that require one to be quick on their feet to learn how to move forward any way possible. It's not necessarily a testament of perseverance, but more so a sense of radical acceptance towards intentional growth and understanding its significance. Without his real world experiences of navigating obstacles, taking in various culture, witnessing both immense gain & loss, all while maintaining a childlike wonder towards the brighter/simpler things in life, Pearl would've learned that it truly does take a village a lot later in life (and he's already pretty old tbh). What's even greater is the fact that all of this is not exclusive to only himself and is something that hugely brings j. doe together as one.
Pearl has community—one with similar, if not the same, general intention towards personal growth and creative prosperity. He is not alone, and neither are his companions.
That is what makes us j. doe.
